Project Spotlight: New Vinyl Plank for an Upcountry Kitchen
August 6, 2026
Kitchen remodels often start with cabinets or countertops in mind, but this recent Upcountry project is a good reminder that the floor deserves just as much attention.
Why the Floor Came First
Starting with new vinyl plank flooring gave the homeowner a clear foundation to build the rest of the remodel around — color palette, cabinet tone, and overall style all followed from there. It's an approach we recommend often: nailing down the floor early makes every other decision easier.
Built for a Working Kitchen
The homeowner wanted something that could handle daily cooking, spills, and heavy foot traffic without showing wear — exactly the kind of job LVP is built for. The finished result gave the kitchen a warmer, more current feel while holding up to the demands of actual daily use, not just how it looks on install day.
