Where Carpet Wins

Carpet is still the top choice for bedrooms and living rooms where comfort matters most. It's warm underfoot, quiet, and forgiving if furniture shifts around. For homes without a lot of moisture exposure — think upstairs bedrooms, home offices, and formal living spaces — carpet remains a great option, and today's fibers are far more stain-resistant than what was available even a decade ago.

Where LVP Takes Over

Luxury vinyl plank was practically made for Hawaii living. It handles moisture, sandy feet, and everyday wear without missing a beat, which makes it a natural fit for entryways, kitchens, lanai-adjacent rooms, and busy hallways. It also gives you the warmth of a wood look without the upkeep that comes with real hardwood in a humid climate.
